Hurricane Harbor (Phoenix)

Home to the first dueling water coaster in the country, Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is a perfect choice if you’re traveling with kids. Slides, rivers, water coasters, play areas, pools, and much more await you in Arizona!

With a total of 6 thrill rides, the Hurricane Harbour Phoenix is an oasis for adrenaline lovers. Our favorite attractions include the Anaconda, voted a Top 5 water slide by the Travel Channel’s “Extreme Water Parks” program, and the Bahama Blaster, the first dueling H2O coaster in the country. 

The youngest guests of the water park have 4 kid-sized water playgrounds with slides made exclusively for them. Apart from the slides, these playgrounds include dumping buckets, sprayers, and other interactive play elements for the little ones. 

Family-friendly attractions include a wave pool, an adventure river, a white-water rafting experience, a giant activity pool, and a 6-lane racer slide.

Apart from 1-day tickets, you can purchase add-ons to your tickets, such as a One-Day Dining pass, THE FLASH Pass, a Digital Photo Pass, and more.

Big Surf Waterpark (Tempe)

Operating since 1969, the Big Surf Waterpark has become a real and proper family fun oasis for everyone! For older kids and adults, thrill slides of all sorts, for younger visitors, different play areas, making Big Surf a top contender for best outdoor water park in Arizona.

The Big Surf Waterpark is home to some of the most thrilling slides in Arizona! 

Enjoy the adrenaline rush of a slide tower with three Hurricane Slides, The Black Hole dark enclosed slides, and the Tornado Twisters. There are also other single and double tube slides, which amount to a total of 7 water slide attractions.

For kids, there are 3 play areas with attractions designed specifically for the little ones. All these areas contain smaller slides, splash zones, and animal-themed play elements. If you’re traveling with toddlers, don’t worry, one of these areas is toddler-friendly


Things to do in Big Surf Waterpark

As its name says, the Big Surf Waterpark started as a surf center and it only expanded its offer of activities through the years. However, one thing stays the same, at the Big Surf’s 2.5 million gallon Wave Pool you can still rent rafts, boogie boards, and surfboards to practice your wave management skills!

Every day from 5 to 6 p.m., the water park hosts surfing sessions. You are allowed to bring your own board if you have one, or rent one at the park! 

Things to know before going to Big Surf Waterpark

For a more private atmosphere, make a reservation for one of the poolside cabanas available at the property. These shaded areas will help you get through the scorching sun and make you enjoy your day at the park even more.

Golfland Sunsplash (Mesa)

Featuring more than 30 attractions, the Golfland Family Fun Center and Sunsplash Water Park are pit stops you don’t want to miss on your family trip! Miniature golf courses and thrilling waterslides are a perfect combination for families with kids of all ages.

A variety of water attractions is available at the Sunsplash Water Park! All kinds of attractions are at your service if you decide to visit this park, so let’s take a closer look!

Roller coaster fans will love the Master Blaster Water Coaster, an attraction that will give you all the thrills you are looking for. Also, there are different body and tube slides, among which we recommend the Stormrider bowl slide, the Dragon Tail enclosed body flumes and the Double Dare slide with a near-vertical freefall drop.

Family attractions include a lazy river, activity and wave pools, as well as a kid- and toddler-friendly water playground, designed specifically for the little ones. 


Things to do in Golfland Sunsplash

The best part about this water park is are the extra activities you can enjoy with your loved ones. Award-winning miniature golf courses await you for a little family challenge, but if you are not that skillful with a golf club, there’s no need to worry!

Other activities include laser tag, arcade, fast car raceway, as well as bumper boats and cars. Just make sure to decide which activities you want to try before purchasing a ticket, in order to save some money if you decide to buy a combo pass for multiple activities. 

Things to know before going to Golfland Sunsplash

Private cabana rentals are available to shelter you from the scorching heat of a full day at the waterpark. We recommend booking a cabana in advance, due to their limited availability, to enjoy your family’s fun day to the fullest! 

Want to enjoy the park at night? By purchasing a Night Splash ticket you can do this up to 6 nights per week. Make sure to check out their schedule for specific times and dates to get the best out of the after-hours! 

Outside food and drinks aren’t allowed to be brought into the property, with factory-sealed bottled water being the only exception. Everything you need can be purchased at the snack bars located around the park.  

Waylon's Water World (Yuma)

Located in Yuma, this seasonal outdoor water park features colorful and fun attractions for the whole family! Slides and playgrounds of all sorts are just what you need on your family trip. Check them out below!

With a total of 6 attractions, this water park has everything you need for a family fun day! 

When it comes to waterslides, you can choose between the Big Bowl funnel slide, the Red Racer, and the Mat Racer, perfect for a little family competition.

Kids and toddlers will enjoy the Syd’s Zone, a water play area with 4 slides, rope bridges, water cannons, and a 250-gallon water dumping bucket on top. Also, there’s a separate Toddler Area with 4 slides for the little ones. 

However, if waterslides are not your thing, take a tube and enjoy a moment of relaxation floating down the 850-foot lazy river

Things to do in Waylon's Water World

Apart from the water park, you can experience an amazing family adventure at the Z Fun Factory. Here you can try activities such as mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages, arcade, and bumper boats, available at an additional purchase. 

Just make sure to plan the day ahead and bring dry clothes to jump right into the fun after a wild day at the water park!

Things to know before going to Waylon's Water World

There are several ticket packages available for purchase according to height, years, and operation times but bear in mind that children of 2 years and under enter for free anytime! 

You don’t have to worry about food when you plan to visit this family complex. Several food joints and bars will provide you with everything you need to keep your energy levels up and running. 

Oasis Water Park (Phoenix)

Voted one of the country’s top 10, Arizona Grand Resort & Spa offers an incredible 7-acres water park for visitors of all ages. Resort guests enjoy more benefits, but daily visits are also a great idea for an adventurous day with your family!

Guests of the Oasis can enjoy a wonderful resort water park with 8-story thrill slides, a giant wave pool, a 25 person hot tub, and the Valley’s only side-by-side active river. 

The Wild Cat Springs are the best idea for younger kids, where they can play and splash around. 

Do not expect an adrenaline-filled adventure at the Oasis, but rest assured that your kids will love it either way!

Need a refuel during your family fun day? No problem, the Oasis Bar & the Oasis Grill await you with refreshing drinks and delicious meals for the whole family. 

Given that outside food and drinks aren’t allowed on-site, this will save you some pre-cooking time and make you enjoy your day even more. 

Things to know before going to Oasis Water Park

For guests of the resort, the number of Oasis wristbands included with the nightly fee is based upon your confirmed room type.  However, there are day passes available for purchase to non-resort guests exclusively through ResortPass.

There are several poolside cabanas available for rent at the water park. Cabanas include four lounge chairs, a dining table with four chairs, an air cooler, and 12 Complimentary Bottled Waters. Cabana rentals are possible for resort guests and for daily visitors, according to availability.  

Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center (Chandler)

Water Slides in Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center

This cute and simple water park offers just what you need to spend a lovely day with your family. 

Mesquite Groves features two waterslides, one of them toddler-friendly as well. This economical water park doesn’t feature extreme slides, which makes it an excellent choice for parents who prefer to chill than worry.

Other kid-friendly attractions include a water playground, a water spray pad, a lazy river, and a family play pool, ideal for chilling and playing with the little ones.

Hamilton Aquatic Center (Chandler)

Hamilton Aquatic Center is a shared-use facility located on the campus of Hamilton High School. This Chandler water park is an excellent choice if you’re traveling with numerous family members or if you wish to stay on a budget. Check it out below!

Visitors of the Hamilton Aquatic Center can enjoy two water slides and a water vortex, perfect for mild-thrill lovers. 

There’s also a zero-depth play pool, a current river, and a 115-foot water play structure with small slides and waterfalls.

Do not expect extreme thrill attractions at this water park, but the offer of Hamilton Aquatic Center will be enough for hours of family fun with your kids.

If you get tired of the water attractions and feel the need to get a workout, Hamilton Aquatic Center has everything you need.

Funtasticks Family Fun Park (Tucson)

Things to know before going to Funtasticks Family Fun Park

If you prefer to wait in the shade while your kids run around the water park, make sure to reserve one of the private cabanas located on site. There’s a limited number of cabanas available on different locations, therefore it is highly recommended that you book yours in advance. Rental price includes an all day access to a cabana, 4 bottles of water and 2 free chaperones. 

Diferrent ticket packages are available for purchase according to the type of activities you choose to try. A specialty of Cactus Springs is the CHAPERONE Pass, which allows any non-participating guest entry for a symbolic price.
