There is no accommodation provided on the property, but if you book your stay at one of the hotels from the Stay & Play deal, you get free tickets for the waterpark. 

For a private family getaway, rent a cabana with drop-down privacy curtains, a ceiling fan, a flat-screen TV, lounge chairs, and a security locker. However, keep in mind that only the first rental is free, every modification of your booking requires you to pay a fee. Also, refunds are not issued if you miss your appointed date and you won’t be offered to reschedule for free if that happens.

With a total of seven water slides, Tidal Cove counts with high-speed and free-fall slides, which will give you a maximum thrill. 

Our recommendations for this Aventura resort are the Master Blaster,  the world’s first uphill waterslide, and the Whizzard, a mat racer with a 360-degree loop.  

The little ones can enjoy the Kids’ Cove, a 4,000-square-foot kids’ swimming pool with an emoji-inspired aquatic playscape.

More relaxing attractions include a lazy river and two tropical-inspired pools. Float on a tube throughout the waterpark or soak the sun in the shallow pools, the definition of relaxing at its finest!


The FlowRider of this Aventura resort is far from regular. It features not only one but three bays, where you can try bodyboarding or flowboarding. However, you have to book a lesson at an extra charge, given that it is not included in your waterpark pass.

5. Adventure Island (Tampa)

If you choose to visit this park, food should be the least of your worries! A series of bars, restaurants, and food trucks are located in Adventure Island, where you can try snacks, pizzas, burgers, ice cream, and refreshing cocktails, perfect for restoring your energy.

For a next-level experience, reserve loungers or cabanas and enjoy your rest in the shade. These rentals are available at several locations throughout the waterpark, find the deal you like best and take it easy!

If you wish to upgrade your stay, even more, choose some of the add-ons for your waterpark pass. We encourage you to get the Quick Queue Unlimited, which will save you some precious time you would usually spend waiting in line.

The All-Day Dine Deal wristband is available as a one-time purchase. With this add-on,  you can consume one entrée platter, side or dessert, and soft drink or bottled water once per hour at Surfside Café or Mango Joe’s Café.

6. Sun-N-Fun Lagoon (Naples)

If fun is what you are looking for, Sun-N-Fun Lagoon is the place to be!  This Collier County’s premier water park features five exciting slides, four pools, and a lazy river, which makes it a top destination for families with kids.


The Sun-N-Fun Lagoon boasts 4 body slides and a tube slide, all of which are 4 stories high. Each slide is meant for single riders over 48 inches tall. 
However, if your kids do not exceed the height requirement for water slides, there’s no need to worry! They can enjoy attractions such as Sunny’s River, Family Falls, Tadpole Pool, Turtle Cove, and Dolphin Dive and Lap Pool.

7. LEGOLAND® Florida Water Park (Winter Haven)

LEGOLAND® Florida, situated about a 1h ride from Tampa, is a must-stop on your family trip with kids! Separate water park tickets aren’t available for purchase, and the only way to get yours is by buying a day pass for both the amusement and the water park. If you decide upon the Multi-Park Pass, you can enjoy the Peppa Pig Theme Park, a must-see for the youngest visitors!  

Relaxation is made possible by renting one of the cabanas available on-site: Duplo Splash Cabanas and Joker Soaker Cabanas. There are two options to choose from,  regular and premium cabanas, which will make your visit pleasant and comfortable.

8. Shipwreck Island Water Park (Jacksonville)

Located in Panama City Beach, Shipwreck has enjoyed a ranking in the top five waterparks in America by Trip Advisor’s Traveler’s Choice, and Best of the Best Awards for many years.  Indeed, Shipwreck extends over 15 acres of land and features unique attractions for the whole family.

Admission is FREE for children below 35 inches and you can get a huge discount if you purchase a 2-day ticket. 

Also, if you don’t like to run around the waterpark carrying cash or credit cards with you, purchase the Splash Cash wristband. This way, you pay for your food credits upfront and then get a refund if you don’t spend it all. Pretty useful, right?

9. Splash Harbour Water Park (Indian Rocks Beach)

13. Coconut Cove Waterpark (Boca Raton)

Another water park in Florida, this one in Boca Raton, the lovely Coconut Cove Waterpark is ideal for families with smaller kids. No extreme slides, just a couple of slight thrill rides, and a lot of opportunities to relax are all the things that make Coconut Cove so special.

If you wish to do so, you can book Swim Lessons for ages 6 months or older. However, we recommend exploring that option if you’re staying for multiple days at Coconut Cove since every lesson is paid separately and more than one is required to get the best results.  

Food and beverages can be bought at a full-service Concession stand, with dishes such as Hebrew National Hot Dogs, Chicken Tenders and Nuggets, Mini Corn Dog Bites being served whenever you wish.

14. Shipwreck Island Water Park (Jacksonville Beach)

15. The Lift Adventure Park (Hudson)

The Lift is a perfect destination for water sports lovers and families with older children. Aqua Park, Wake Park, and Paddle sections will give you a real and proper workout, but sometimes a challenge is all you need, even if you were expecting one from an outdoor water park in Florida!
